Pink Polo Festival ends on high note at Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club
Kicking off the exciting new season, the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club hosted the charitable ‘Pink Polo Festival’, under the generous patronage of Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Club.
The 16th edition of the festival achieved remarkable success, with wide participation from all segments of society throughout the day.
The festival was attended by Sheikha Rodha Bint Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Saeed Bin Hofan Al Mansoori, Vice Chairman of the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, Abdul Baset Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the Club, Amer Al Sairi, Board Member, and Haroon Hayat, CFO of Elite Holding Group.
The organization of the Pink Polo Festival by Ghantoot Horse Racing and Polo Club continues the club’s 16-year-long commitment to supporting breast cancer patients, while promoting awareness about the disease, prevention, and proper methods of combating it.
The festival kicked off at 12pm with the opening of the club’s gates to the public, who flocked in large numbers to enjoy a day full of sports and recreational activities.
The event included a range of sports and social competitions, as well as raffles offering valuable prizes.The polo matches were a highlight of the festival. The first match, for juniors, began at 5 pm, with Ghantoot A team securing a deserved 1-0 victory over Ghantoot B.
The second match saw strong participation from women, with Ghantoot A, led by Sheikha Alia Al Maktoum, achieving a decisive 8-1 win over Ghantoot B, cheered on enthusiastically by the fans.
Hammadi expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Falah for his patronage of the Pink Polo Festival, noting that his support greatly enhanced the significance of the event.He praised the large turnout and wide participation from all segments of society, highlighting that this strong engagement reflects the public’s solidarity with breast cancer patients and enthusiastic support for the awareness campaign.
Hammadi also thanked Sheikha Rodha for her attendance and active participation in the festival and awareness campaign, and extended his appreciation to the club’s partners and supporting organizations, whose contributions played a key role in the success and distinguished presentation of the event.
